* in New Hampshire this Friday
Any NHers or Bostonians planning some visibility? It's speaking at some picnic in Stratham before whooshing off to Kennebunkport for the weekend.

1. I have just gone through a motor trip through the blue and black roads
of New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island, visiting various tourist spots along the way.

I saw the most Kerry signs in New Hampshire and big ones at that, not your usual lawn sign. These were mini-billboards.

Saw nothing hardly in any other state.

One do not change horses in the middle of the stream sign in Connecticut.

Maine had a sprinkling of Bush signs as well as KErry signs

3. Vermont has limit on how big the signs can be
I kind of like it. I hated driving threw NH in 2000 and seeing all of the ENORMOUS Bush billboards, my blood pressure would skyrocket!

4. More info...4000 "invited" Repubicans. Typical!
STRATHAM - As many as 4,000 Republicans from across the state are expected to gather for an invitation-only picnic at the Scamman Farm on Friday to hear President George W. Bush speak and build momentum for the November election.

The picnic should be a sort of rallying-the-troops campaign event, said Bush-Cheney ’04 campaign organizer Maria Comella.

"That’s definitely a way to describe it," she said Monday.

Bush is expected to make a formal speech before the crowd at the event, said W. Douglas Scamman, who lives on the family farm with his wife, Stella.
