George Bush Wins 2004 Election by Narrow Margin
Jenna Rossity
Bush thanks God and his cousin at Fox News for his early win. With only 100% of the votes unaccounted for, Fox News call the election in Bush’s favor reporting a small but comfortable margin.
Fox, known for its ability to get an election result out before its competitors claims that ever sophisticated statistical modeling has helped increase its competitive edge. While in 2000 the station managed to make a conclusive decision 30 minutes before the other networks, this time it has stretched that lead to over 3 months.
Upon the announcement other channels scrambled to drag their most prominent presenters into the studio in a game of catch up as the news of President Bush’s win spread throughout TV and other media networks.
A jubilant George Bush received the unexpected news with joy. A spokesman for the White House told reporters, “George is very happy with the news which takes a lot of pressure off him. As you all know, The President's laid back, almost non-exist style of leadership was shattered on 9/11 and he’s hoping that another term will afford him the chance to return to a more leisurely pace and use his position for personal gain.”
