8. The bottom line is that it isn't bad enough, yet.

We are a soft, easy-living population, who will take a great deal of abuse before we even think about getting violent. Americans have proved over the last four years that we can be shit upon by the ton and just smile and turn up the teevee. We know in our heart of hearts that the Republicans would kill us at the drop of a hat and that if we gave them even the slightest excuse, then the American public would just shrug and say we deserved it (then back to that teevee thing, again). We have got to get to the point where dying and killing for our beliefs is the only (or best) vialble option. If Caligula steals another election, what will we do? We'll get online and vent - that's about it.
