The link below talks about the third pesron to protest the war this way
during the first Gulf war, but the name is missing.
Does anyone have a link on info about this person ?
The date was Feb. 18, 1991,
At about two p.m. on President's Day, February 18,
a young white male, unidentified at presstime, set
himself on fire near his peace sign and died in an
apparent symbolic protest against the war in the
Persian Gulf, and a profound personal expression of
the overriding importance of peace. Spontaneous
vigils were held on the Town Common that evening
and an interfaith service was held on Tuesday.
According to reports, the man wrapped himself in
paper and then poured paint thinner over himself
and the paper. The first match he lit went out; with
the second, he "had a furnace going." His driver's
license was attached to the peace sign.
