Claps weak for Bush Now!

He is speaking in Davenport Iowa.

The window dressing people were NOT clapping when he talked about Medicare. The audience did not clap!

After that, he started mixing up his words.

All of a sudden it changed. They must have gotten the message because they started clapping on cue.

They never showed the crowd. It seemed small from the noise.

The man to his left is still clapping weak. So is the lady directly behind him. The children are looking at him like he is crazy.

Said," we gave tax relief to every American that pays taxes."

* What tax relief did he give me? My taxes were higher this year.

I'm a single guy and had an income of under $20,000 last year. First time I ever had to pay in actually. What a crock. And I hate it when they always want child credits. Screw that, that doesn't help me! And if you know anything about taxes, the marriage penalty is complete BS too!

23. Do we still have the earned income credit?
When I was in your boat, Clinton forced the earned income credit through, meaning I got a tax credit for being a low wage earner. It was a HUGE help to me. I was just out of college and struggling with freelance and p/t work while I looked for a full time position. That was then only tax relief that ever made a real difference for me.

When we got that tax refund check a few years ago, I gave half to Crisis Assistance Ministries (help to the working poor) and half to NARAL, just to piss the Bushies off.

and just got a notice from the IRS that I made a mistake when I filed and that I owe them almost $500 more.

17. They probably say:
"Clap serfs! Or the Secret Service will take you away in handcuffs!" And if that doesn't scare them, Karen Hughes will glare at them until they crumble.

His speeches always remind me of this fairy tale record album my younger sister had with Kermit the Frog. The king was giving a speech and his assistant told the serfs what to do. The king makes a lame joke and the lackey says. "Polite chucke." And the crowd chuckles. The king gets really mad and says "Polite chuckle?" ansd the lackey says, "Uh...uh...building to uproarious laughter!" And the crowd starts laughing insanely.

18. does he EVER have any rallies without invitations?
can you just walk up and watch, like they do with Kerry?

I went to a big one at College of DuPage four years ago, with a hidden AWOL sign (big, red W....two sided, with an A, an O, and an L stapled inside; but I couldn;t get ANYbody to hold up a few letters....they were BIG, two by three feet), and you had to have a printed invitation to get into the restricted courtyard to see him

they knocked a guy with a Nader bumper sticker on his Tshirt to the ground

talked to him for awhile

VERY Leni Reifenstahlish that day; LOADS of anger in the air....bad bad vibes

it was all over the radio

amazing

do ANY spontaneous rallies occur?
