Each morning I see 20 John Kerry yard signs on the way to work...
at least 20! And it's only a 15 ride to work each morning (I live in Portland, OR). On one particular neighborhood block there are at least 12 Kerry signs. People are excited! That's probably twice as many yard signs as I saw during Election 2000 in the final months.

11. I do too.

I live in the only solidly Dem area in Georgia (suburbs east of Atlanta), but this state is so full of knee-jerk Repubs that every little bit helps!

I live in Battle Ground, and there are even a few around here. Haven't seen even one Bush and his Dick sign or sticker yet.

Pdx, in a heavily Republican area. I'm happy to see two Kerry yard signs in my neighborhood! Better yet, there isn't a Bush/Cheney yard sign in sight!

I drove through a neighborhood in Winchester, Va with houses that go from 290K to 400K and saw two Kerry signs in the yards.

I did not see one Bush sign. While these people are not rich, they are clearly uppper-middle class, which is supposedly a strong suit for the Shrub.

It seems Kerry is appealing to a lot of non-traditional bases. I still see a lot of "W" stickers on my way to work (driving 7 into Northern Va) and I plan to get my stickers on my car when they come in to at least balance that out a little bit..

14. Up here in Everett Washington
I have the occasion to drive a bit north in the course of my job. Next to the freeway one day a large Bush/Cheney sign appeared. Seeing this, a thought raced through my head but I told myself, 'no, you don't have time.'
The next day, I passed the same sign. It was as if someone else had the exact same thought as I, because now the sign is adorned with a large red X! I like it!!!!

15. We've gone through many hundreds since Monday
My local Dem party got 1,000 signs in on Monday. We need more, they're almost gone. And everyone's giving us donations for them so they're paying for themselves.

I live in a normally Republican stronghold. We get calls all day from people who consider themselves Independents, often vote Repug, that just hate Bush.

It's just crazy up here but a good kind of crazy. :toast:

16. totally unscientific and unreliable personal observation ...
Driving around Portland these days, I see 4-5 Kerry/Edwards
bumperstickers for every Bush-Cheney bumpersticker. Even
out here in Oregon City (read: bedroom community for dis-
gruntled former loggers displaced out of the mountains),
the jacked-up/gun-racked pickups are occasionally sporting
Kerry/Edwards stickers. Which is really saying something.

I am really hoping this signals an upwelling of support for
Kerry, or that at least the conservatives are dismayed and
demoralized and will stay home come November.

J.

I live in Northeast CT and work in Marlborough, MA. Guess Mass residents aren't proud of their junior senator.

24. I know of one person on my street who supports Kerry and
even he doesn't have a sign out in his lawn. I still have my "Dean for America" sign out in my yard along with my local Dem running for US Rep seat.

25. If you say so..........
I have never seen any Dean signs at all in these parts. I saw a couple of bumper stickers months ago, but I don't see them any more. People are really excited about Kerry, but I see that some people like to hold grudges.

23. I finally saw my first Kerry/Edwards yard sign
in a neighborhood that I drive by everyday today. Have seen more * bumper stickers though. I AM going to order that magnetic sticker one that you can take off and on. Just do not trust folks around here. Was that advertised on the Kerry website???
