Hey my statement was quoted in my college newspaper today!
The "Arizona Summer Wildcat" (University of Arizona's paper)

(Regarding the protest in protest in Tucson last week)

"I came out to show my support for Kerry and to say that Cheney is not welcome here" He (me) said he's "ashamed" of having voted for George Bush in 2000 and Saturday was the first time he attended a protest.

I don't think anything I do will ever erase the scar of voting for that scumbag, I will never forgive myself ever as long as I live I think.

I'm trying though guys I'm really trying....

1. Good for you!
Nothing is wrong with admitting a mistake and doing something about it. Congrats on your stance and your quote!

2. Cool!
That's very cool that they used your quote. Don't beat yourself up over 2000, I think a lot of people would have done things differently had we known then what we know now. Cheers! :)

To say knowing what I know now I would still invade Iraq...on the same time table?? Forcing the vote in the Congress before the elections of 2002??? Would you have watited and gotten more countries on your side??? KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW?? HOW COME NO ONE ASKS THOSE QUESTIONS???

3. Well, I voted for Nader in 2000
Even though it was in CA which Gore won by a landslide, I still regret it. It takes courage to admit a mistake and wisdom to realize it. Cograts to you!

Ahhh lemme tell ya somethin though as I've said (line stolen from Sopranos) If Bush were drowning I'd throw him a cinder block.

I'm never voting for a Republican again EVER NOT EVER.

Also I was 18 at the time, so I think I deserve a little break I didn't know any better..

7. Of course you deserve a break
But I'd think twice about throwing Bush a cinder block. Here's a good joke:

Okay, so you're a reporter for CNN or something, and there's been a terrible flood. You're surveying the damage. Houses are up to their roofs in water, debris is floating, and you're safe and comfortable in a small boat. And low and behold, you see a person floating in the water, and it's quite clear they're drowning. As you get closer you see that the person is none other than George W. Bush. He's begging for help, and it's quite clear that unless you intervene, he's not going to make it. You have a spare life preserver in your boat. Now the dilemma that comes up in your mind is:

Do you use color photography to film his death, or black and white to create a more artistic effect?
