He says, about the invasion of Iraq, "it was the right thing to do". No Dubya, it was not the right thing to do. Yes, you captured Saddam Hussein. Now, we know he did not have WMDs or nuclear weapons and was not an imminent threat to our nation. You can blow it out your nose all day long that it was the "right thing" to do, but it was a god awful blunder. You have over 900 troops dead. Iraq can fall apart at any minute and slip into civil war. You have made enemies out of your allies. You have created more terrorists than you have destroyed. You left a job unfinished in Afghanistan and left Osama on the loose. Even today, you have an elevated alert in NYC and Washington, DC for a possible al Qaeda attack. And you still say you did the "right thing"?? You are insane, sir.

1. I think that this is the most important issue of the election.
But will most other voters think so? I think most voters don't care about foreign policy. But they sure do care about their money. Kerry should emphasize how much this war is costing each of us monetarily.

5. That would be a great opening

at each campaign stop. Estimate the crowd, multiply that by the cost per person of the war to date, and open by saying "You people here now owe XXXXX.XX dollars for the war on Iraq and no end is in sight"!

2. Don't forget that the Taliban are back in business
Certainly the people of Afghanistan can't overlook that inconvenient fact.

And the question that remains unasked is, was "getting" Saddam worth 900 American lives? Or tens of thousands of Iraqi lives? Or spending $200 billion?
