Just came back from 10 hours of hitting the pavement
and registering voters here in Maine. There were only four of us for most of the day (six volunteers at our peak), and we registered 70 voters. Yes, that is a big seven-zero! And we were all college age and younger; in fact, I'm not even old enough to vote myself (I've got two years to go). See http://www.bikethevotemaine.org

7. It frustrated me to no end when
people refused to take thirty seconds to fill out a registration card when there isn't much I wouldn't give to vote in the election this fall.

3. What a Great Story
You are an inspiration to those of us who can vote and should do what you did today. Thanks.

6. One thing I noticed
most of the people who registered did so as "I do not wish to enroll in a party yadda yaddda yadda", but Democrats outnumbered Republicans by a long shot. :)

8. I'm getting way too many independent registrations
but Dems win when we get folks out to vote. I refuse to worry about all the indie registrations. It's hard work but you are succeeding.
