Is Bush the AntiChrist?
See http://www.bushisantichrist.com/ - a really scary and
convincing webpage. So why isn't the Religious Right at least considering the possibility?

Bush has the number 666 in Hebrew of the Beast.
He also invaded Iraq (which used to be Babylon - Read Revelations in the Bible)
He often uses a symbol representing Satan (not the Texas Longhorns, as he claims).
He has a tremendous obsession with Death (disregards Life), full of deceptions yet has all this power over masses of people.
There are several other interesting correlations.
In a recent poll, about a third believe Bush is the Antichrist including the Pope:

2. No, because the antichrist doesn't come til after the rapture.
What you are describing is a sydrome called "antichristophobia".
At least that is according to one of my mom's books called "Are you rapture ready". It's an affliction where people who believe in the a.c. think everyone is the a.c.. This is a real book, I swear.

I don't know if he is the biblical "anti-christ" but he sure is the anti-jesus.

the question often raised among those who are (of my acquaintance and they are both for and against His Majesty) is why on earth would he be giving a "hook 'em horns" sign? It makes ya wonder...

I'm not sure if I can identify the anti-christ so I like to defer to the experts at "RaptureReady.com" a fun place where folks post about how God talks to them - and virulently deny that seeking mental health help would be a good idea...

They don't have Bush down as the antichrist but they have some "compelling" arguments as to why these people might be...

"Barney the Dinosaur
Because John, the writer of Revelation, would never have known what a dinosaur looked like, it's logical to assume he would have identified any vision of Barney as one of a dragon. Taking this into consideration, you might find the following Scriptures quite revealing: Revelation 12:3, "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon…,"
Revelation 13:4, "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
Revelation 20:2, "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years."

William Jefferson Clinton (of cousre)
A number of folks have e-mailed me saying, "Clinton is Satan's pet." I came across information posted in newsgroups and websites that add up William Jefferson Clinton numerologically to total 666."

They also have handy hint sheets to help those left behind including "Oops, I Guess I Wasn't Ready! What to do if you miss the rapture" Very handy indeedy.

21. Here's an alternate theory for Barney being the Antichrist
Everyone knows Barney,... that cute purple dinosaur. But here's something that you may not know:

1. Start with the given:

CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR

2. Change all U's to V's (which is proper Latin anyway)

CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

3. Extract all Roman Numerals:

CV V L DI V

4. Convert these into Arabic values:

100 5 5 50 500 1 5

5. Add these numbers up:

100
5
5
50
500
1
+ 5
-----
666

There you have it: A mathematical proof that Barney is the Antichrist!

I mean, EVERYONE who has caused problems for the Dems HAS been a relative of *, yes? :::snicker:::

Heck, on a board where I used to hang out, I'd call * 'Nicolae Carpathia' just to get the right wingers all worked up. LOL.

For those of you wondering who the heck Nicolae Carpathia is - he is the anti-Christ in 'The Left Behind' book series.

(my MOM reads them) (but she's voting for Kerry!) :)

12. Because it's an arrogant thing to pin on someone
Someone in every era since Revelation was written has always thought that the book of Revelation applied to them. How arrogant is that? It's like when we believed the world would end in 2000 at the stroke of midnight (depending on what time zone). Most Bible scholars agree the beast was Rome and Nero end of story.
HOWEVER! Jesus also warned of "false prophets". That I do take seriously because be Christian, atheist, agnostic, buddhist, taoist, whatever, there is always the risk that someone will pin upon themselves the medal of religion and trick a bunch of people into thinking they are "the way" and THAT affects us all.

15. If the definition of "Christ" , otherwise known as "Christos"
or "enlightened one", a person of compassion, gentleheartedness, and empathy is one's definition of Christ, then indeed, Bush is the anti-christ, as are all of the people in his administration.
Its not a person, per se, but the behaviours of the people involved and how they treat others.
You will know them by the fruits they bear.
So far, they are monsters.

22. He's a bad businessman drunk that became president....
But yes....he does truly represent nearly EVERYTHING that can go wrong with a man....and in comparison with Christ's values...he does represent the 180 out.

1. Helping others or.... total reckless selfish behavior - The essential reason he was propped up and propelled forward by the right wing neocons is that he does fully endorce the reaganite idea of lower taxes on the wealthiest people in this country....aka pure capitalistic greed.

Another 4 years will find us moving towards 28% upper rate and then ultimately a flat tax, with inheritance and other taxes also worked to allow assets to flow almost uncontrollably to the upper 1%.

He fully endorces outsourcing, the elimination of health care and retirement for Americans, Yaddi Yaddi...you know the story.

It's all a modern day story for what had occurred prior to the entry of Christ....

2. Live together in harmony.... or use people as if they are inhuman entities with no souls - The right wing neocon story that they want to empower people is bullchit. They want to USE you....as a consumer....as a spender in their corporate scheme of things. Those who support the neocon right wing way of thinking are people who essentially love to look down on people. They do not endorce the basic Christ ethic that everyone is same in the eyes of god. Because of their negative influences, the entire motif of the business world has not embraced the most modern theories of quality, human resource management, and empowerment of people. Now that the worse evils of the business world have direct government support, the situation will deteriorate very quickly to one which has many aspects of dehumanization and slave labor.

Once again - this runs counter to the basic Christ ethic of giving everyone a chance and seeing everyone as equal. This dehumanization of man is exactly what was happening prior to the entry of Christ.

3. USING RELIGION as an evil tool - Perhaps the most compelling analogy to Christ would be the fact that Christ resented the iconization of religion and the true lack of understanding of how it should be used to free people, not to enslave them. The modern day reconstructionists and supporting right wing neocons are just one tiny step removed from the horrible crusades of old. Killing in the name of religion is intensely anti-Christ. Nuff said.

23. The Goat Chant during the Sacrifice of The Innocents on 9/11

Great List!!! But you forgot that one, graphannette. And..

The Child Sacrifice being demanded of the American people.! And..

The Satanic rituals at the Iraqi prisons. And...

The presence of The Church of Set within the Military. And...

The looting of the Iraqi Museums for props in their little occult Games. And...

A adoring, worshipful media constantly saying, "Who is like Bush? Who is able to make war with him?"

It's all so overwhelmingly apparent!

And I suspect, sooner or later, the Fundies are going to figure this out.

All bets are off at that point!

25. Reagan was the 666 beast, the BFEE is the power behind the beast
First was the 666 beast, but there was another beast that gave the first one power.
Ronald-6 letters
Wilson-6 letters
Reagan-6 letters.

Rev. 13:

And I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horms, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And I waw one of his heads as is were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life or the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
If any man have an ear, let him hear.
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword much be killed with sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six.
