2. Distinction with no difference? Read Asimov's Foundation Trilogy
in it the Mule is a mutant. And its a damn good read anyway

ok.. thanks for the Recommendation... i did see I ROBOT.. but haven't gotten through one of his books yet:(... BUT>. loved the movie.. (except-... would have been a lil better without the FRESH PRINCE... or at least.. WITHOUT showing HIS ASS...

That was the first thing that popped into my mind.

And the Foundation series (more than a trilogy really) is one of my all time favorites.

5. Really Foundation, Empire, etc are great post war SciFi.
I would recommend these books to everyone, they are terrific reads. And because Asimov was a REALLY bright light the books offer much on rereads. IMHO, althought they are somewhat different genre, Foundation and its associated works is every bit as good (better for some readers) as Tolkien's red book.
