Alan Keyes is THINKING about it?

I'm beginning to actually feel some pity for the Illinois GOP. They've offered the US Senate nomination to face Barack Obama to a man who doesn't live in Illinois, who derided Hillary Rodham Clinton for doing the same thing he's going to be doing this year, and who is so right wing, so completely out of touch to the voters of Illinois...and he wants to THINK about it?? The arrogance of this guy...incredible.

This episode has to be one of the sorriest spectacles I've seen in a long time.

1. I was just thinking (looking at the Tribune's headline)

that it makes the Illinois GOP look like the Keystone Kops. It's so sad that it's funny.

3. Things haven't been so funny with the GOP

since Reagan called ketchup a vegetable. The Yellow Dog Democrats in Southern Illinois are laughing their heads off.

to put forward? Not one? That ought to boost the morale of the party there. Very sorry indeed.
