VOTE FOR CHANGE TOUR
Dear R.E.M. E-listers:

This is the first in a series of three big announcements coming your way over the course of the coming days. Thanks for reading.

VOTE FOR CHANGE TOUR

R.E.M. is pleased to announce their participation in a concert tour for Vote for Change, a coalition of musicians brought together by a single idea--the need to make a change in the direction of our country. All the artists on the tour--R.E.M., Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, and the Dixie Chicks--share a belief that this is the most important election of our lifetime. These and other artists will appear on separate bills on the same night in selected cities. This unprecedented effort will include more than 40 shows in 30 cities in 9 "battleground"
states over the course of 10 days.

R.E.M. will join Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as well as Bright Eyes on the bill for Vote for Change shows between the dates of October 1 and October 8. Here is the schedule:

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN/R.E.M./BRIGHT EYES

October 1 Philadelphia
October 2 Cleveland
October 3 Ann Arbor
October 5 Minneapolis
October 8 Orlando

For more information about the tour, ticket information, and the cause, please visit remhq.com as well as the websites of the two organizations instrumental in bringing these concerts to life--ACT (http://www.act04.com) and MoveOn Pac (http://www.moveonpac.org).
