I AM NOT JOKING!! W’s Presidential Papers printed UPSIDE DOWN!
I work in a public library. The other day, we received Vol. II of “Presidential Papers of the President,”—George W. Bush—and the whole volume is printed UPSIDE down! I am holding the tome in my hand as I type this!

FELLOW LIBRARIANS—please check your acquisition of this series. Confirm that our copy is not the only one to have this defect.

HOW APPROPRIATE! The perfect assessment of the George W. Bush Administration.

I can’t believe this!

1. Well it comforts me to know that Bush did the papers himself

2. Sounds more like a binding error.
Unless the cover is upside-down as well? In which case you're holding it wrong :-p

4. Yes, it is a binding error...
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 12:59 PM by KansDem
When one grabs the book from the shelf and opens the front cover (holding it correctly according to the print on the spine), one sees the last page upside down.

This is a MAJOR quality-control error! (or is it? Hmmm...)

I wonder how many copies were bound this way?

By the way, the cataloger just informed me that we ARE keeping this copy and will put it on the shelf just like it is.

on edit: perhaps my original-post subject should have read "...bound upside down."

5. I wonder how soon it will be before anyone notices
It seems fitting somehow that an upside down Presidential Papers book be cataloged as the official library copy.

6. Put it on E-Bay!
I'm sure the Library could use the proceeds.
