Goddamn. 923 Lives...wasted.
I don't check the Iraq Casualty Count (http://icasualties.org/oif/) as often as I used to, what with life getting busier and all. But I just happened to check today.

923 U.S. soldiers killed.

3 of 'em today in attacks on the Syrian border and in Najaf.

It seems like the last time I checked a week or so ago the count was around 909 or so.

Meanwhile, Ratface Weasel in Chief and his minions waste millions ripping the military record of a soldier who served.

It must be a bitch being in the military right now. My freeper brother who's a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the Navy is normally quite effusive about Bush. He came to town this week for a visit and had nothing to say about his boy---even in heated family discussions about the war.

God bless our soldiers and their families. And let's fight like hell to get a Commander-in-Chief in there who actually cares about them.
