Bush unleashes the Queen Mother of all Freudian slips
“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,” Bush said. “They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

No one in Bush’s audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs reacted.

4. Well, as one carnivore to another...
...I hear ya. But "Bush_Eats_Pretzels" seemed kind of "iffy" when it came to choosing screen names...

12. Nah, Bush_Eats_Beef captures the raw stupidity of the Boy King
"I had beef for lunch today!"

When he said that, a grateful nation stood behind him, energized and ready to eat.

5. Does it look like the devil is watching over them?
Right between Card and Bush it looks like a smiling devil with green horns.

10. Did Bush become aware of his Freudian slip and di he try to correct it?
Or, did he just let it slip unawares of what he had said?

And by the way ... I love this picture showing only Bush's eyes while veiling the rest of his face. Looking only at his eyes is like a plane landing in a clearing of his mind which seems to be saying he knew what was about to happen and was waiting for it to happen. There is something serene about them (although not so for the rest of his face). Something that in them says [v)CHECK! :hippie:

16. Correct himself? How very un-patriotic of you!
You KNOW that he never makes mistakes. Actually, I thought it was quite refreshing. It's nice to hear him tell the truth for a change.

18. If you want to listen to it, they have the video on WH page,
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 03:27 PM by LittleApple81

I right-click on the WebCast realplayer portion, and choose to watch it in RealPlayer. That way I know how long the torture lasts. Anyway, his quote comes around 2/3 into the video (8:01 minutes). Right after he told the truth, he says that we need to do everything to "defend" our country but he slurs the word defend and it sounds like "offend". It is so funny.
