5. Friend's view of Conservative
A good friend, who is slightly left of center, views Conservatives as those who wish to Conserve what they have....meaning, they become selfish (as in, they don't wish to share with or help out anyone less fortunate). Those on the left - demoncrats, liberals, progressives - feel fortunate to have what they have and wish to help others get there....very different, opposite, nearly un bridgeable differences! Of course, there is much more to say with regards to differences - open mindedness/grey vs black ann white thinking, etc.
