1. exactly
Now you can have the choice to not vote for him, instead of having the choice made for you.

3. What a relief
to not have to be FORCED into NOT voting for him when people want to NOT vote for him voluntarily.

Once again, the nation has been saved. :-)

4. But some people want to vote for him
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 05:13 PM by 56kid
why deny them the opportunity?

I always sign petitions to put people on ballots even when I have no intention of voting for them.
I've even signed a LaRouche petition before.

I believe in democracy.

Your sarcasm is lost on me in this case.
It serves little purpose.

5. That's a bogus argument
There are LAWS which dictate who gets on the ballot. If Nadir fails to fulfill the requirements those laws set, then the only one who has denied anyone the opportunity to vote for Nadir is Nadir.

The talk about "denying opportunity", much like the talk of "choice" and "free speech" is nothing more than an expression of self-entitlement. The fact that YOU may WANT to vote for someone does not mean that person has a RIGHT to be on the ballot.

6. Did I say anything about breaking the laws to get on the ballot?
there you go again.

If you violate the rules, then you don't get on the ballot.

You are so predictable. As I suppose I am to you.

7. I didn't say anything about breaking the law either
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 05:21 PM by sangh0
I said the law sets requirements to get on the ballot, and if Nadir fails, it's his own fault. No one is keeping him off the ballot.

You implied that "someone" (my word, not yours) is denying people the opportunity to vote for Nadir. The only person denying anyone the opportunity to vote for Nadir is Nadir himself.

8. So what?
I shouldn't have let myself get hooked.

I don't have time right now to deconstruct your reasoning.

It might be fun & I enjoy it usually, but I'm not really in the mood this evening.

Another time then.

10. And he'll probably be on PA, too. Petition with 50,000 signature was
submitted a couple days ago. If verified, he'll be on.
