It was amazing. Rasmussen (sp) is listening to this guy who served, not ON Kerry's boat, but NEAR Kerry's boat. This guy is telling R. that he really wasn't being shot at when Kerry saved him. Poor R has to tell the story--not really all that complimentary to himself--about getting blown out of the boat, getting shot at, hugging the river bottom, and seeing rounds in the water the five or six times he had to come up for air until Kerry saved him. And then HE puts Kerry in for a silver star (a bronze star was awarded) despite not knowing Kerry from adam being a special forces getting a ride, essentially.

And he has to sit there and listen to some tool explain why his version of his memory thirty five years later is more trustworthy than R.s contemporary account. I felt so bad for R, a special forces guy, being told by some doofus that he must have imagined being in danger, as if he didn't know what being shot at looked like. A more demeaning, cynical, disgusting dishonor of vets couldn't be found, as one gets called a liar in order to smear another.

14. I saw it and it was on Inside Politics on CNN. The scumbag did most of

the talking and according to him there was no mines in the water and no firing into the water (while Rassman was in the water). A mine was what was supposed to have blow Rassman into the water but the scumbag said they didn't believe there were any. He didn't really get a chance to explain how the guy ended up in the water though (I wanted to hear his BS story for that).

Rassman is kind of a laid back guy and isn't used to defending himself and Kerry. I hated how they had them both on like they were on the same level discussing it.

The scumbag said that he ended up in the water that day and he didn't get a medal. Waaahhh. Rassman said he was the one that put in for Kerry to get a Silver Star.

It was disgusting. Rassman defended Kerry and got some points in but it wasn't like he destroyed the other guys credibility (HA) which would have been nice to see.

We need Clark to go on with some of Kerry's Swift Boat guys because I think they are not necessarily media savvy IMHO (which, of course, is part of their charm and makes them more credible but these scumbags are aggressive in their lies and smears).
