4. Heres something.......
.

At 6 a.m. Kerry's PCF-94, along with fellow Lt. j.g. Rich McCann's PCF-24, left their supporting LST (landing ship, tank) to join three other Swifts for Operation Sealords Mission XCVIII -- a raid on the Bay Hap River. The day dawned gray and sunless, which made forming up particularly difficult. The humid air hung stagnant, and the radars worked spottily, if at all, through the unusually dark morning. PCF-94 was in far from tiptop shape. "All the windows on my boat and on ********** boat had been blown out in the ambush two days earlier, and water slopped into the main cabins as the Gulf of Thailand sloshed us back and forth," Kerry recalled. "Each boat had its quota of Chinese-Cambodian mercenaries on board, and speed was reduced because of the extra weight."

snip

Instead, Kerry slowed his boat down so that its wake wouldn't swamp the locals' shallow-draft rivercraft, and the men proceeded with guns cocked just in case anything unfriendly came their way. "They looked at us and we at them -- each staring with mistrust and fear," he remembered.
********************
Finally PCF-94 arrived at the opening to the small Dong Cung canal, where it was to rendezvous with the Swifts skippered by Lieutenants Skip Barker, Don Droz and Larry Thurlow, who would join them bearing the South Vietnamese Popular Forces members (called "Ruff-Puffs") they had picked up in Cai Nuoc.****************

8. this asshole Thurlow, who WASNT even THERE
just makes stuff up, and challenges Rassman's OWN account!

I would have beaten the SHIT out of that guy, had I been on the same stage as he, but the thread discussing it says they weren't together

still, I'd offer VERY STRONGLY to have a face to face on this

6. this ain't Thurlow, but it's Hoffman, JUST as bad a LIAR
and it's ALAN COLMES, of all people, who sticks it to him!!!

Media Matters: mediamatters.org,, June 2, 2004

Hannity & Colmes co-host Alan Colmes once again confronted a member of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group founded to discredit Senator John Kerry's record during and after his service in Vietnam. This time, on the May 28 show, Colmes confronted the group's chairperson, Rear Admiral Roy Hoffmann, USN (retired); Colmes noted the group's Republican ties and questioned Hoffmann's standing to challenge Kerry given that Hoffmann "had no firsthand knowledge to discredit Kerry's claims" and "really didn't know Kerry much personally." (As Media Matters for America reported, Colmes challenged the credibility of the Swift Boat Vets during the May 4 edition of Hannity & Colmes.)

up's partisan ties From the May 28 edition of FOX News Channel's Hannity & Colmes:

COLMES: Roy, your group claims to be nonpartisan, but indeed, Merrie Spaeth, who as the spokesperson for your group, is a Republican operative. Clearly, this is an attempt to make sure Kerry doesn't become president. So it seems disingenuous to think that you don't have a political agenda.

HOFFMANN: Well, we do not have a political agenda. We -- we are actually made up of Republicans and Democrats.

Our thesis is just simply that Kerry is not fit to be the commander in chief of the armed forces of the United States. If you review his book, his biography, "Tour of Duty," by Douglas Brinkley, you'll see that he is -- very definitely has a bias against the military and there are all types of outrageous exaggerations...

COLMES: Well, I didn't get that from Doug Brinkley's book, but I want to put up on the screen something that was quoted in the "Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel" <5/6/04> about you just recently.

It said, "Hoffmann," meaning you, "acknowledged that he had," meaning you, "had no firsthand knowledge to discredit Kerry's claims to valor and said that although Kerry was under his command he really didn't know Kerry much personally."

Now if that's true, what gives you any credibility now in the heat of a presidential campaign to come after him?

HOFFMANN: Well, I can tell you that I did not know Kerry personally. I didn't ride the boat with him. But I was on many combat missions with boats in the same group against the same enemies at the same time, and I know enough about Kerry to feel very confident that he is not qualified.

7. Hell yeah!
I sent him this:
-----------

Dear Mr. Thurlow,

If you had such a clear view of what happened to Jim Rassman, how come you didn't help him?

3. "debated Rassman today" Where was this?
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 06:14 PM by FoeOfBush
I don't get the lists on that site. They have PCF 44 at the top then a different PCF # at the bottom of the list. What's the different designation for?

edit:
Oh yeah, there's a John Ellis O'Neill on PC 94 withan e-mail address!
Isn't Ellis a bush*co family trademark. Wasn't John Ellis the cousin at faux that called the election for bush*. Coincidence

oneilljohn@copn.com<--- Hey read it slowly it spells One Ill John, and I couldn't agree more!
