Today -- Another Bushism
sorry if this was talked about here earlier, but this is just too damned funny.

Bush insists his administration seeking 'new ways to harm our
country'
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush offered up a new entry for his
catalog of "Bushisms" on Thursday, declaring that his
administration will "never stop thinking about new ways to harm
our country and our people."
Bush misspoke as he delivered a speech at the signing ceremony
for a $417 billion defense spending bill.
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,"
Bush said. "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our
country and our people, and neither do we."

No one in Bush's audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs
reacted.

3. The scariest thing about this gaff
is that he read it from a prepared text.

Someone, apparently not Bush, wrote the statement. Another aide or speech writer had to re-read it. Someone else had to go over it with the President, then he had to practice it at least a couple of times.

He read, re-read, practiced, and recited the statement without ever realizing what it meant. That's scary, really scary.
