O'Reilly Condems SwiftboatVets Ad
I was justing watching the O'Reilly Factor (for humor, don't worry). Even he attacked the ad as inexcusable and dishonest. Definately says something about the ad.

22. He doesn't .He's shilling for Bush
Notice who was on Dick Morris, the mother of all backstabbers! Morris said that the WH should have ordered the ads pulled, and O'lielly said, "oh, I doubt that the President knew about the ads".CYA.That's all he's doing. The WH couldn't even bring itself to condemn the ads.All they said was,"We will question Kerry's military record,"and went on to use this as an example of the awful 527 as used by the Dems. GAG.This makes me ill!

3. It's Damage Cotrol! These Ads Were So Stupid Even HE KNOWS IT!!
I have a very strong feeling these ads were Bush's personal idea...It's been rumoured he's been VERY active in his own campaign. These ads have his personality written ALL over them! Vicious, vindictive, reactionary and STUPID!!!

Bush and his thugs could care less if they broke the law....they have broken so many laws and trashed the constitution so many times these past 3 1/2 years it does not phaze them anymore....mainly because the media will not hold them accountable.

I suspect that there are those strategist's out there that realize that "over the edge" stuff like this can make the entire Dubya campaign a complete and utter joke (it's already a big joke). If one becomes too big of a joke, he loses his base.

17. If they did come back with that, they would have a right....
I was listening to Rush Windbag today and he said that this ad is very important and it should be left out there....too important for the White House to interfere. Then he said: This has everything to do with Kerry's honesty and integrity and his ability to serve as commander in chief. You go, Rush! You tell them......going back that many years does have everything to do with a man's ability to be commander in chief and that is why Bush, uh, Kerry's record needs to be checked into.

This gave me all the ammunition I needed for a few pubes who told me that going back that far (I was ragging on Bu$h and his AWOL) had nothing to do with things today. Well, excuse me, but your demi God just said (in effect) that Bu$sh's record all those years ago has everything to do with whether we trust him to run this country. You tellem' Rush! :bounce:

16. I don't give O'Lielly and the pukes that much credit....
after reading the quotes from the White House and piecing this stuff together, in my opinion, they are trying to have their cake and eat it too. On the one hand, the ads are out there and no matter how forcefully they're debunked, there is a segment (hopefully extremely small) of the undecided population that will believe them. On the otherhand, the Repukes and BushCo are going to use these ads as a means to get the Democrats to denounce 527 spending and Fahrenheit 9-11. Since the Kerry Campaign is relying solely on DNC and 527 groups for advertising this month, the Pukes are trying to to box them in a corner.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Limbaugh's and Hannity's of the world come out in the next few days and denounce these ads though it won't be as a result of the moral thing to do!

It sounds like Fox News has not looked favorably on the Swift Boat Veterans (then again the owner of Fox News endorsed John Kerry).

Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, and locally (Apollo Astronaut/talk show host) Walter Cunningham have all supported the veterans.

I turned on the alphabet networks tonight and there was NO coverage (although it had been covered by ABC and CBS on radio news updates every hour).

NBC did have time to cover the Bruuuuce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, et al Millionaires For The Billionaire - Useful Idiots 2004 Tour.

25. Maybe he should talk to CNN.com
They made it a point to have it on their front page the entire day. For the sheeple that just read headlines and don't click the link, they get the impression the story has legs:

• Anti-Kerry ad accuses candidate of betrayal

CNN is a website that definitely deserves a DOS attack.

34. O'Reilly Knows ...
He knows there are a lot of us former Republican moderates who have a very long memory over what Bush did to McCain.

This is a desperate act to try to get us back and maybe vote for the Criminal in Chief.

If he pretends that a cold day in hell is now upon us, we might make good on our vow about when we'd come back to the party.

He's fooling nobody.

He qualified his statments with things like "they have the right to make their case in the public forum and have it debated." (not an exact quote but similar to what I heard him say)
