... poor malloy, he's too kind to callers today
everyone seems to have left their brains in the other room; they put down the phone, leave a huge amount of dead air, and amble aimlessly trying to find it. so many people stumbling and gurgling on the phone. mike has far more patience than i do. i would dump these airheads fast. i'd dump them politely, but still i'd dump them faster than he.

wonder if people are thinking the show is "Tea and Daydreaming with Mike Malloy."

1. It's really strange
Why don't these callers write down a few points that they want to make and organize their thoughts beforehand so they don't sound like such idiots?

He does a pretty good job with them, though.

4. I like the ones who need 15 seconds to mute the radio
Also enjoy the callers who try to maintain a 3-way discussion with Mike and someone yelling in the background.

Bring back the regulars.

10. I was wondering what happened to Slingblade...
and Brother Sky Blue. Mike used to get a lot of calls from on-the-road truckers too!
I did notice Mike sounding a little testy tonight...but I think he'll smooth out as this goes along. I love the guy and think he'll be just fine!

2. I think he sounds a little tired.
There is, after all, an 11 day old baby in the house. I agree that he is too patient with some people. He has to get a little more attitude with some callers, like Randi.

3. Give him time, he doesn't normally have a lot of patience,
but with a baby he is probably learning now...lol

6. I don't like Malloy
He is coming across like a liberal Limbaugh.

5. The callers are probably us...
drinking a couple of short cases of Pabst, anticipating the moment, dropping the phone when he finally reaches us, taking time out for turning the radio down, telling the roommates and dogs to be quiet, getting all flustered and not knowing how to express our opinions all that coherently...also the deal with "can you here me now?" which seems to be an unpopular running joke...can I put you on hold? We have to take a break now...

7. It is an 'off' night tonight
There's sometimes one or two callers that are kinda spaced or can't get out much more than a, duh well uh um, but tonight they're crawling out of the wood work. Mike sounds frustrated because of it.

9. He was really nice to me.
I'd called him way back when.

I was the one who wanted the resistance bumper
music back.
