Sweet Home Alabama, where Bush never wore any blue.
It's been four years, and nobody in this state has yet to come forward with proof he attended his Guard meetings. There is a $10,000 reward for anyone to come forward with proof, yet not one single Alabamian has stepped forward. Of the hundreds of Alabamians who served in that Guard unit in the 60s and 70s, not one has come forward. In fact, the state newspapers have pretty much given up on finding anyone. One writer told someone, and I’m paraphrasing , "You would think, with the hundreds of people who served in that unit or knew someone who served in that unit, that more than a couple of ole' republican farts with sketchy memories would come forward. Bush was the son of a US Congressman and working with the Blount campaign. People like that do not go unnoticed by Guard members for that long of a time period. It just doesn’t happen. Now he is President, and still nothing. There should be dozens of testimonials, yet there are none - at least none that are credible or newsworthy.”

1. Bring out the AL Air National Guard Vets!
For the interested, here's a stump speech in 2002 where bush says he was working on the sampaign, doesn't mention guard duty.
Thanks so much for coming. I don't know whether you know this or not, but in 1972, I helped organize Red Blount's campaign for the United States Senate right here in the state of Alabama.

It seems entirely reasonable to me that he said "Hay, I can't make it - I've got this campaign ..." and somebody said "OK, well we'll just be quiet about it. Hope your guy wins."

If that's the explanation, I don't know why they didn't just say that in the first place instead of dragging the issue on for years and years.

3. He did nothing in the Blount campaign
other than get drunk and attend a few meetings. Oh, he gave some tennis lessons at the country club and trashed the house he rented.

Blount was slaughtered by the Democrat, John Sparkman.

5. Run a similar adv in the swing states as the swiftboat gang
Swiftboat.com says John Kerry didn't deserve his medals in Vietnam, and they are supporting George Bush. Voters, ask Swiftboat. com, Where was George Bush and Dick Cheney in 1969? They don't want you to hear this, but, but Bush and Cheney were cowards who dodged the draft. Mr Bush used his daddy's influence to leap over more qualified applicants and secure a nice, safe position with the Texas National Guard. Mr Cheney just flat out refused to serve. Said he had other priorities. While John Kerry volunteered to serve his country and volunteered to serve in combat, our current president and vice president were missing in action...And they have the nerve to say John Kerry didn't deserve his medals. While they drank beer and played golf, John Kerry was under enemy fire in Vietnam.
Don't you think it's time for the republicans to tell the truth? They can talk the talk, but they never walk the walk.

I'm not good at writing commercials, but something along those lines needs to be produced!!

2. Indeed God Damnit!
i was just saying that in another post..and uh...still fired up about it. Today's "skipboat" ads illustrate that this campaign is desperate. The ad visually highlights people from what is suggested as being ONE unified photograph. In actuality, these photo close ups were not in the SAME photo. This cannot be disputed. Kerry did NOT serve "WITH" these guys.
