of 12,000. Damn. Do the math. After 12 months they'll have 130 dead.

In contrast, troops from Fort Carson, CO deployed 15,000 troops for a year, right after "shock and awe." After one year, 46 of them had been killed.

The 1ID is blaming it on training that doesn't match reality. (That's what the D-Day soldiers said.) Why don't they just blame it on an increase in partisan activity? Doesn't that more accurately reflect what's going on? How does Fort Carson's training differ from that of the 1ID's in Germany?

“I don’t see how you can possibly mimic what we are facing here,” said Sgt. Will Douglas, from Battery C, 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Regiment out of Bamberg, Germany. “The urban training was good for us, but now that we’re here I see that it wasn’t very realistic.”

we would come under sniper fire,” Douglas said. “You could see the window open, you see the rifle and then you see the guy leaning out of the window. Here, it’s not like that. They are very well hidden.”

Hope the 1ID doesn't get extended for 90-120 days, like the 1AD did.

1. And that number does not include the wounded
In that same amount of time hundreds and hundreds of Iraqi military have also died.

Here hoping they get more Iraqi police force out on the streets fast to clean up the criminal element which is doing the whole restoration more harm than the insurgents may be doing.

2. Wounded 1ID will likely be 3 times that of Fort Carson's soldiers

by the end of a year's tour, if those stats parallel both groups' KIAs.

"Bring 'em on" indeed.

Then, you've got US soldiers in Afghanistan killing each other through "negligent discharge," i.e. a weapon going off when it wasn't intended (not the same as "friendly fire") at a rate of 25% of US KIAs.

Yeah, Rumfuck, I'd look chagrined, too, with those stats staring me in the face.

The WH's answer to the problem? Alienate our European allies. No wonder Feith is known around the Pentagon as "the dumbest fucking guy on the planet."

This is what happens when you put a bunch of chickenhawks in charge of a war.

And that Defense Appropriate Bill Bush signed yesterday for armored Humvees, etc? Too damn late, dipshit.

3. I'm afraid it'll be much worse than your projection
Things are going to hell rapidly, each time they spin out like this it gets closer to the inevitable civil war, or even regional war to who knows maybe WW III.
They're caught in a shitstorm, they can't make it stop, they can't hide, I feel so bad for our people.

5. WE, need an Adult Human in the white House!
Gung Ho Bonzo(the CIC or Chimp in Charge)is a walkin' train wreck! Reminds me of the GROFAZ and his Nazi general staff, that he never trusted or listened to! Adolf Bush is a War pResident and an Expert on WAR!(history repeats) He and Rumbo don't need Generals to tell them how to run no danged war! All that training and schooling we paid for, to teach the Generals how to win wars and Bush and Rumbo run most of the good general officers off and keep the YES MEN! You know the type!

Bush reminds me of Major Powers in Heartbreak Ridge! A total Clusterflof! Fools like Shrub are always the last ones to know how foolish they are! I hope the Chimp's lessons aren't too much more costly in human beings! I'll bet KKKarl has to re-school Shrub every time he comes back from another vacation, on being the proper little War pResident/Cheerleader!

Thanks For the links!
