He has his base, OK? They're homophobes, racists, and probably a lot of them WISH they had wives to beat.
And they probably buy a LOT of the shit that's advertised during his show. I've never watched, but I would guess that you don't see too many Boeing and Lexus ads, right?

Advertisers look at the numbers. If sales go up after they start on a program, your Emails and letters complaining get shitcanned. If sales are flat or actually decrease, your letters still don't make any difference, they just decide that maybe they're not getting the return they were expecting and then they don't renew the contract.

It'd be nice to think that a company is socially responsive to what their company name is connected to, but it's money, just the money....
