The Dumbing of the President
Maybe it's just me but he sure didn't seem THIS stupid in 2000. i knew he wasn't the brightest star in the sky but it seems to me his mental capacity is diminishing at an alarming rate. WTF??

1. Agreed
I think the job has overwhelmed him. He seems unable to look or sound sincere, to speak off the cuff.

The GOP rush to beat Gore and their choice of Bush, will come home to roost this November.

I'd love to see that press conference where he joked about being a C student at Yale and saying something like "and look how far I got".

2. Subject Matter
In 2000, he was dealing with lighter topics. It was more fluff. Things he may or may not have understood. . . but at least he'd been talking about it for years and years, so he was comfortable and familiar with it. Now he has to deal with much more somber topics, and he has to sound sincere and concerned, which requires him to fake it. Badly. He was probably also drunk at the time. ;)

Saw the movie and often the background news covered terror attacks all over world was chillingly like today. Yet, the Chimp just wasn't smart enough to be the implanted leader.

6. Little bush was a drunk...what do you think he...
maintained in that little brain of his? If he started drinking in his middle teens, by the time he was in high school he was a heavy drinker. We all know he was a drunk throughout college. The bush name got him through school. That's ok I guess. What is not ok is that by high school, bush stopped learning. It is not surprising that his intellect is that of a poor high school student. That is why he is a puppet president and cheney is in control. That nitwit can't even read a page in front of him without twisting the sentences. That is very dangerous for this country...and he must be stopped.
