2. Kerry spoke yesterday.
He received several standing ovations. Obviously, Kerry performed better than Bush.

Here's a link to Kerry's speech:

4. Yes! It was equal or better than his Acceptance IMO

It was filled with compassion.

He said he wanted to put public schools back together. He said he couldn't do all that he wanted to do with schools in the 1st year. But, he wants to restore music, art, science, history! He does not want to just have Reading and Math to meet the unfunded mandates of "No Child.."

I loved the way he talked about education. It was music to my ears.

5. I watched it last night on c-span
Kerry was at his best - answering questions off the top of his head.
It's worth watching.

6. Bill Schneider mentioned on CNN today that Kerry did much better
than the * at the Unity speech, he said that Kerry recieved a much warmer reception. The idiot Daryn Kangaroo on CNN asked if this lends credibility to the "liberal media" and beleive it or not Schneider said no, Kerry got a warmer reception for other reasons.

10. I watched some of Bush's Unity appearance today on c-span
I couldn't take very much... My god, what an idiot.

Schneider's right - Kerry got a better reception because he actually makes sense when he speaks. Some journalists appreciate that.

7. Kerry got a much warmer reception.
There were actual cheers when he stepped up to the podium. And needless to say, Kerry was much better at intelligently discussing issues with the crowd. Bush just kept repeating key phrases -- "Solemn duty" and all that. The latter can't operate without a net OR a script.

8. They LOVED Kerry there yesterday, didn't want him to leave
they applauded and cheered most of his answers to questions. he did the thing where he goes into the audience after the formal part of the question and answer session was over. and everyone went up to him and they seemed to be so comfortable and at ease with him asking him whatever they wanted to ask. and they were telling him how he needs to win.

9. in my local paper this morning, there was an article . . .
that was critical of the group for being too enthusiastic for Kerry . . . said they interrupted him for applause 50 times, and questioned whether Bush would get the same reception . . . :)
