FReepers lining up to jump off the cliff. Here's a sample:
Here's a few of the over 250 posts on the employment numbers over at FreeRepublic.

Werent the economists expecting something like 200,000 new jobs? This is pathethic. Unless Bush has a great August he is cooked unless we get a terrorist attack to scramble the election (and Im not cheering for that).
For those who think we are at or near full employment, consider the fact that the Battleground States for the most part have above average unemployment rates. Maybe those of you in Wyoming who want a job can get a new high paying job in one day, that isnt necessarily the case in Ohio or Michigan where this election is going to be decided.

I was just listening to FOX and Friends and I thought they misspoke when they mentioned the numbers. I turned from my computer and there was Goby Smith with a sick look on his face and yes the numbers were correct. It's not good news however one wants to spin it. The experts were saying they expected 220,000 new jobs. And that will be repeated by the Rats and their allies in the Liberal media so if you want to put your head in the sand be my guest.

If Bush loses and JF'nK gets to raise taxes on US businesses, they have only themselves to blame. Hiring 32,000 in July means an average of 640 new hires PER STATE...just pathetic. This economy is going no where at this rate. The only thing that is up is oil prices.

Congratulations to the Democrats - their talking down of the economy is having the desired effect.

***************************************************************

I think the last one was hysterical. Picture the economy lying on the couch and the Democrats hypnotizing it to believe 'I'm doomed. I'm a failure".

1. Funny, how they're in charge in all three branches
of the Federal Government but the sucky economy still manages to be the Democrat's fault!

2. blame the dems
Republicans control the White House and both houses of Congress, and the bad jobs number is the dems' fault.

4. Funny
how the last poster blames dems for "their talking down of the economy is having the desired effect." Shoot, if Bush doesn't control the economy, how is this our fault?????

Idiots, one and all.

And some of them are beginning to recognize where the problem really resides.

That should be distributed far and wide to help end this myth that it's the Democrats who are rooting against America.

19. If I could play devil's advocate for a moment...
"Unless Bush has a great August he is cooked unless we get a terrorist attack to scramble the election (and Im not cheering for that)."

Not even the scumbag Freepers are willing to let another attack succeed to get Bush another term.

7. Move the election forward
They did it in Iraq to avoid troublemakers. Everytime they talk about possible attacks during the run-up to the election here I say let's have it sooner.

Boosh has run this economy into the weeds. Time for a designated driver to take over.

9. It just brings a tear of joy to my eye.
Who said that capitalism would provide the weapon that would eventually destroy itself? And the weapon has a name: outsourcing.

Thank you, free marketers! I knew you were good for something. Maybe we can now go back to the policies of reason, instead of the policies of ideology.

11. Guess what the Chimp-In-Chief thinks about this?

"Economic growth is strong and it's getting stronger," President Bush told a conference of minority journalists in Washington today. "And that's good for everybody in America."

I swear. That's what he said today.

Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 10:19 AM by NewYorkerfromMass
Horrible, horrible news. Bush is in VERY BIG trouble. This number is beyond bad news, it will probably elect John Kerry president.

Just by talking down the economy we can cause job loss. Does that mean if we click our heels together three times we can get everyone back to work?

20. If we are so good at talking the American people into thinking
the economy sucks, so they actually believe it, and therefore does go in the crapper, then why the hell can't we get the message out so the American people believe that Shrubya really is an idiot and totally unqualified to be President?

Next we'll be accused of mind control and Freepers everywhere will be wearing aluminum foil hats.

<LOL> just thought about that... picture the RNC in NYC... <LMAO>

that it's our fault there were no WMD's in Iraq since we kept saying there weren't? :) :) :)
