I just got phone surveyed by Helping-hand.
It was computerized. THey asked me if I was pro-life, if I supported an amendment that defined marriage as only between a man and a woman. They asked how I felt about taxes, and if I agreed with our efforts in Iraq. If I favored lowering the drinking age and if I was male and attended church at least once a week.

1. Lowering the drinking age? I wonder which Colorado Senate candidate?
Hmm. It couldn't be the one that stands to profit enormously from teen drinking could it? My family values? The family values guy who thinks doing twins is the ultimate in family values? Whose commercials say '21 means 21'?

2. You think that they were calling on behalf of Pete Coors?
I do think that what he says and does is hypocritical. I am not necessarily opposed to lowering the drinking age, but beyond that I do think he is hypocritical. I am supporting Salazar.

4. No, actually, I don't oppose lowering it either.
It was 18 when I was 18. The federal govt strongarmed the states into lowering it. Personally, I think if someone is old enough to vote and old enough to volunteer to get shot at in the military, they are old enough to have a beer.

I just like pointing out what a hypocrite he is. The man has sent millions to right-wing 'pro-family' causes, yet now he's trying to peddle alcohol to minors so he can make more money, even if it means thousands of dead teenagers every year from drinking and driving.

3. I would answer all the Qs liberal, EXCEPT the church Q
I would say I was pro-choice, opposed the amendement, felt taxes should be apportioned more fairly (poor pay lower rates than rich, higher taxes on unearned income than earned income), upset about Iraq, drinking age is fine where it is, and that I attend church once a week, even if I didn't.
