What, exactly, it the Bush Rent-A-Mob protesting?
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 11:27 AM by enki23
I was under the impression that protesters usually had... something to protest. A specific grievance. So what is theirs? What are they protesting? The democratic process? Are they protesting our right to run a candidate for president?

It's one thing to protest a sitting president. He's... well, *president.* He took us to a rather unpopular and seemingly unnecessary war. That leaves him pretty wide open to specific protests.

But what does the other side have? Squat. They aren't "protesters." They're *HECKLERS.* There's a difference, and we need to use accurate terminology.

1. Excellent point, and one that has occurred to me as well
they have NOTHING to complain of. But that explains why they pull 12 to 20 people when the our side has 20,000. Besides, with the disproportionate media coverage they get, they are getting a prety good bang for their buck.

2. If I were still in my 20's and living in a swing state,
I would contact the RNC and ask them if they had any recommendations for protesting Kerry events. I would tape record everything and rat them out the week before the election.

Just a fantasy. . . .Ahhh to be young again!

3. You're right.. it's hecking..
the poor backward Freerpers got heckling confused with protesting. THey think democracy is something you shout from the back of a cheezy bar when they're shit-faced drunk. The idiots have nothing to say, they just have a personality disorder that makes them crave attention. Personally, I'd be embarrassed to be part of their dimwitted fraternity.. it appears to be shrinking daily.
