1. People are getting..
nervous.

Many stocks have been underperforming the weak indexes. A lot of investors who generally consider themselves Republicans are starting to criticize Bush. The dividend and capital gains tax cuts are worthless when your portfolio is in the red.

3. what does this mean
for the average person in US??????<<

for me... it means that my retirement account just tanked... severely.

It means that wars are profitable... but only for the few well connected to the WH. It means that the economy is doing great... I heard that we are turning our 12th or 13th corner.... but you know... if you go by the old plumbers axiom.... 14 elbows equals a shutoff.... then we are not doing as well as some would wish us to believe.

Up isn't down.... black isn't white... war isn't peace... and invading "sovereign" countries is profitable only for those well connected companies (to the WH) and those who have sought to privatize various services once provided by the military themselves.... you know who you are.

They have learned to profit off the lives of our children. How... how how can they get in front of the camera and smile?? I just don't know.

6. It works out to about $300 billion in market value.
The Wilshire 5000 index has fallen about 300 points as well and each point there equals roughly $1 billion.
