Just saw the c-span videos of the unity conference remarks...
of President Bush and John Kerry. I can only wonder why John Kerry isn't leading 80% to 20%. The difference between the two was remarkable. Kerry looked and sounded presidential and Bush did not. I really don't think Mr. Bush is secure at all without his many handlers.
I watched them both and the most startling difference was the audience reaction. They cheered Kerry and mostly just stared at Bush. The questions got bigger applause than his answers. Some of his answers brought embarrassed giggles from the panel. This was admittedly an educated crowd, but it was fun to watch their reaction.
