The Tide Is Turning, But Don't Get Overconfident.
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 09:08 PM by TheWatcher
Stay Vigilant.

This was a BAD week for the other Side. Probably the Worst week in recent memory.

Terror Alerts Exposed: Terror Alert Data turns out to be largely based on 3-5 Year-Old Data. They have tried to Spin It Away, but people are starting to catch on that the Terra Alerts about Al-Quaida Goldstein are cynical, political ploys designed to distract and control everyone into submission through fear.

"Dirty Tricks" Ad Backfires: The Swift Boat Ad has got to be one of the cheapest. most gutter-filth shots I have ever seen. The Republican Party is known for this, but this is outrageous even for them. It backfired completely when it turned out it was all BS, one of the so-called Swift Boat Captains called it a mistake, and even John McCain publicly denounced the ad, stabbing the knife deep into the back of the Bush campaign by hearkening back to the 2000 Primary Races by reminding everyone "This is basically what they did to me in 2000." Even Dick Morris (!) and Bill O'Reilly (!!) Condemned the ad.

Jobs Report completely erases EVERYTHING Bush has said about the Economy for the past 6 Months: For the past 6 months, the Boy Bastard has constantly repeated the meme "The Economy Is Strong And Getting Stronger". On Friday the Sheep awoke from Grazing to find out the truth. Only 32K Non-Farm Payroll Jobs were created in July, and like every number before this one, the previous month's numbers were revised DOWN. This is an old trick Poppy used to pull. It didn't work before, it won't work now. And since the BLS has more than likely been massaging these numbers and not reporting the accurate facts anyway, it would not surprise me if next month we find out we actually LOST jobs in July.

Stock Market Bloodbath: The Dow Jones and the other major indices dropped to new lows this week, and the Dow Jones settled firmly below 10,000, while the S&P broke below it's 200 DMA. All gains have been erased for the year, and all three Indices are BELOW where they began the year. This tells us what many of us have known all along. The Economy is NOT getting better. The Stock Market is NOT coming back.

Bush makes a complete fool of himself at the UNITY Press Conference:
Taken out of his usual comfortable environment of Scripted Questions and hand-picked fawning crowds, the Boy Bastard stepped out of the Orwellian Chamber this week to try and wing it against a group of REAL Journalists. However, when he tried to Shoot From The Hip with his Texas Bullshit Charm, he ended up Shooting Blanks. He was openly laughed at, couldn't answer a single question with an intelligent answer, and appeared lost and confused much of the time. It was one of the most Epic Meltdowns I have ever seen with a sitting President. His biggest gaffes came when he could not answer the Sovereignty question and the Affirmative Action Question by Roland Martin. He was clearly out of his depth, and Roland's line of questioning completely took him off guard, and made him look like a bumbling idiot. It was the most telling look we have had that this President is mentally coming apart.

MSNBC Proves Once Again that we no longer have a Free Press: From the same event, MSNBC reported that the heckler that was escorted out of the UNITY Press Conference by the Secret Service was shouted down by the other journalists, making seem as if they angrily came to Bush's defense. But a look at the C-Span Video Shows that absolutely no such thing happened. MSNBC MADE THIS STORY UP, AND IT IS COMPLETE FICTION. Rarely have I seen a more blatant and brazen offense of completely making something up and reporting it as fact by our Media. The C-Span Video easily refutes all of this, all people have to do is look. Most won't unfortunately, but it is a clear sign of the desperation that continues to permeate out of this Administration.

Bush Tells The Truth For Perhaps the First Time In His Life: At the signing of HR 4613, The Defense Appropriations Act For Fiscal Year 2005, Bush made what was probably the most memorable gaffe of his presidency. Speaking to Generals and High-Ranking Military Personnel, Bush uttered "The Gaffe Heard 'Round The World", when he said "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." Some called it a Freudian Slip, others called it a gaffe, others said he simply "misspoke". I say that the little thug probably told the Truth for the first time in his life.

Add to all of this one of the Bloodiest weeks in Iraq for our side and theirs since the War started, and you have the makings of the Crumbling Of The Foundation that is the Pre-Cursor to The Epic Fall.

It was definitely a Bad week for the other side.

But we must not let complacency creep in.

You know as well as I do what these people do when they get into trouble, and right now they are in about as much trouble as they have been since this long National Nightmare began on December 12th, 2000.

They are GOING to Hit Back.

We must be prepared for that.

Remember, DO NOT live in Fear of what they might do.

Instead ask yourself, "What will our response be?"

86 Days until their Reign Of Terror is 86'd.

HOPE IS HERE.

We're Almost There.

Keep Moving Forward.

And DON'T Turn Your Back.

Not for a second.

Solidarity.....

2. We Will Be.
I am sure there are things I did not include, so if anybody else has anything to add to the summary, please feel free. :)

These days there are almost too many things going bad for them to keep up with.

4. re: the swift boat ad
you're not quite correct on that one. he retracted the original affadavit in 1991. he has recently re-retracted. he signed a second affadavit which says, essentially, that he was telling the truth the first time.

it's confusing, it's bullshit, and lot of people will still fucking buy it. that is most certainly *not* good. it's not good, and it will probably matter. i just hope it doesn't matter enough.

5. absolutely agreed. and may i add.....
this doesn't end even if Kerry moves into the White House in January.

When Clinton was elected, the Right simply made lemons into lemonade (from their standpoint) and, among other things, retook both houses of Congress, inflicted heavy damage on Clinton's presidency, and successfully applied the political pressure on him to not to go too far left at all.

We need to be doing far more than winning elections. We need to do what the Right has done for the past four decades and build an ideological foundation from the grass-roots, the same way the Christian Coalition and the right-wing think tanks like Heritage did. We've started doing exactly that just very recently -- MoveOn and Howard Dean's organization are a very good start.

13. Exactly!
The stress that this administration injects into my daily life has started to erode my normally laid back personality. I've become irritable and can barely handle small talk anymore. If the discussion is not about how to beat Bushco and win the class war that THEY started then, dammit, why talk at all?

I volunteered with my state Dem Party, and while it does help a little, my pleas to RW strangers ring hollow because I can't seem to convince my own father that he's fighting for the wrong side. My wife's parents are so brainwashed by Fox News that they continue to watch religiously even after I sat them down and made them watch the Outfoxed video.

It kinda takes your breath away when you really grasp the scope of it all. So many in need of deprogramming! How many decades has the past four years set us back?

7. Yes, this is a good summary of their Bad week
brought on by everything they did to themselves. Not only the swift-boat liars but it has all backfired..

And whatever else they come up with will do the same. Nothing's going to stick because it won't be true and we won't let it.

And Kerry/Edwards are out there staying on message.

8. Thank you for the understatement of the year "Stay Vigilant"
In other words don't "misunderestimate"(this was not a miscue as far as i can see, he really thought about that word he made up as being a factual basis for debate)

The cave on the other side must have worried quite a few control freaks

9. Good to read this post, 2things: 1-they WERE all
self inflicted and that's oddly reasurring, 2)I continue to hope we do make it back to safe harbor, but, they're almost desperate and that scares the bejeeezes out of me.

Another * freudian slip was, he said yesterday, they "hate us blablablablech" and then..._""they still want to BOMB us"" oh...really? a bomb? SO specific was dimson whilst his filthy subconcious was center stage at the UNITY shindig.

@#$%^&*( sends chills down my spine :(

16. Putting a finger on why and what things might happen is ?
The problems surround 9/11 are very intriguing. How much was on purpose and coincidence.

I have no doubt there is some deep and darker plans at hand. But the things of subliminal are a mystery. You can feel it, but even a most evil set of minds (like a Henry Kissinger an a group of his henchmen could not even plan it that well, too much synchronisity on that day)

A Kerry says they should keep the 9/11 investigations going tells me there is some middle ground here, and people that keep asking the questions are having some of effect that is needed. We are living in weird and different times. Mostly and or lately things seems turn to a standstill around presidential election time but not this year.

Remembering bushco's numbers were in the toilet along with much of the financial sector paints the familiarity of the most recent pattern around 9/11. I have heard it said that it doesn't take much to put them kind of particulars in place nowadays. That would make sense if they also wanted to keep some the other sectors in line with the drama. You have to be able to sell as many people as possible otherwise it makes it harder to work. At least thats my take
