Tommy Franks says on "This Week" he doesn't like hyperbole, then he
spouts the hyperbole of all hyperboles...I'm one of those who believes that "we are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here."

The Bush administration's favorite talking point in defense of their failed war on terrorism--botched wars in Afghanistan and the Iraq War detour.

The recent terrorism warnings and raised threated levels in New York, New Jersey and D.C., belie this riduculous argument--"big time", as Dick Cheney would say.

Loved his calling out the White House regarding their not condemning the "swiftboat veterans" ads.

4. He used McCain's words
to refute the swift boat vet smear. I thought it was effective. More important was his analysis of the foreign policy failures, Iraq failures and stating that he was a former Republican, former veteran for Bush... but now he is an independent for Kerry. :)

He said he didn't leave Bush, Bush went away from him.

5. Franks is a bootlicking MORAN.
The only reason he got to be a general officer is because he knew exactly which asses to stick his nose up. He's got an intellect on a par with the Chimperor.

6. Anybody remember why Franks is retired and playing golf while his troops
are still being slaughtered? Is there any precedence for a commander to just go on early retirement in the middle of battle?
