What would happen if computerized voting DID get hacked in November
and it was painfully obvious that the results were wrong? What if some teeage kid from NJ decided to cause mischief and wrote in 200 million votes for Angelina Jolie or something like that. Would elections officials just shrug their shoulders and say, "We're sorry, but we have to go with what we've got?"

1. Supreme Court would over throw it and order new I suppose.
I get the feeling that they regret what they did in 2000.

4. I think they regret it too, judging from decisions this year
except Clarence Thomas, who was licking Bush boots all the way down the line!

2. Angelina Jolie would be better than Bu$h - All joking aside though, I 'd
...hope that if something like that happened and it was so obvious that they would have to hold another election and the election would have been considered nullified.

My fear is that what if it isn't something so obvious? How would one know? Gawd help us and if that happened, lets hope the hacker was a democrat for Kerry....

3. I wouldn't mind Angelina Jolie.
She's socially minded and has grown up since her early escapades. As a matter-of-fact, we should run her against Arnold in the next California governor's election.

9. Sorry, but at 29 years of age Ms. Jolie is constitutionally ineligible.
Maybe in 2012.

7. Trouble even if NOT hacked.
No matter who wins, the losers are going to be tempted to cry "hacked!"

This next election is in real trouble.

8. If we really value our democratic process
we absolutely have to eliminate electronic voting. I have zero faith in a computer generated data packet that is supposed to be my vote. If I have to pencil in my choice on an actual paper ballot so be it. I thankfully will not have to use E-voting this year (Ohio) but in future I will never vote on a computer. If need be I'll vote absentee.

10. Given...
that most computer hackers are nerds...

AND

That most have the mentality of 15 year old boys...

Jean Luc Picard would be President, with 7 of 9 as his VP.
