This is an official Fundraising Thread for The Guy James Show

I am sure you have read where Guy's voice can be silenced due to lack of financial funds. That station is listener supported. I am not a paid fundraiser nor receive any money at all from the Guy James Show. I do however get to reach thousands upon thousands of veterans who are unaware of some of their rights that the Bush administration has shut off. Many on this site get to speak up for democracy and are advocating for truth not lies.

Bill Press was a guest this past week on the show. Joe Wilson has appeared on the show. Bev Harris has been there. We need to let the opposition of Rush keep Guy's voice out there. This is a swing state. If you knew the area and how completely right winged it is, then you would throw your money, any amount that way. My job is to support veterans and truth and it goes without monetary support but I do get heard to further veterans causes.

Be not deceived. We are fighting a real war on our civil rights, right here in America. This election is so crucial to veterans, the disabled, the minorities, the senior citizens, the children, and the list goes on. We cannot afford to have The Guy James Show off the air. Are we not supposed to make some sacrafice during a war? Have a Meetup, invite people to listen to The Guy James Show at your house, it is archived. Have a showing of Outfoxed and then pass the plate. We are supporting a lot of things right now but I cannot think of any more important than giving to The Guy James show. I can't stand the thought of Rush and Hannity having a field day with this liberal voice being silenced. Please donate below

4. Fundraising is a great idea.

For those who live in an area where there are others who would listen and participate, I think every way that you can spread the word is great. For those of us who live in right-wing strongholds, like me, it's harder to find other democrats or progressives to interest. Perhaps some sort of online fundraising?

I know you've been doing just that with your CD; what about ebay? Auctioning off something as a fundraiser, proceeds to go to the show?

I don't have much of value around here, other than books. But I've got some great books I'd sell to fundraise.

9. The original thread ...a Plea to keep Guy on the air

We've always been brutally honest with our faithful listeners so its time to let all of you know that we are in dire straites. It now looks like we will not be able to continue more than three more weeks without a serious transfusion of cash. We've been paying for about 90% of the expenses out of our pockets but we just cannot afford to carry the load any longer.

We had hoped to make it thru the election but it doesn't look like that goal is going to be met. We have some "irons in the fire" with several radio companies but nothing nailed down yet and going off the air isn't going to help our chances at all.

So, I'm asking all of you if you can help save the show. I think you'll all agree its been getting better and better and is entertaining to many, many DU'ers. We appreciate your kind comments about the show and our topics of conversation. If you are so inclined, please stop on over at www.theguyjamesshow.com and donate if you can. We'd love to have your support and promise even better shows in the future if we are able to continue.

...is one of the biggest stations in a VERY important market, Ft. Myers/Naples/Charlotte Co.

It's the Repuke money capital of Florida, maybe the nation, and Guy is rallying Dems THERE. Where it counts, not over the web, but in their cars.
