wonkette makes great comments on the new Iraq death penalty
From the wonkette blog

http://www.wonkette.com/archives/vote-and-die-free-iraqi-reinstates-death-penalty-019131.php

Yesterday, the interim Iraqi government announced a permanent solution to crime: They're reinstating capital punishment. Hey, it's an unelected, unaccountable government without a functioning justice system and the ability to kill whomever it deems guilty! That seems familiar somehow. Of course, it's not like this is a dictatorship. After all, democracy is about choice: "Yesterday we announced an amnesty. Today the death penalty," said a government spokesperson. "Choose one of them."

Talk about the lesser of two evils! Speaking of which, the Brits have already condemned the decision, which does go against the human rights standards recognized by almost ever major democracy. The Iraqi provisional government has a clever response to this criticism, noting that these countries didn't abolish the death penalty "right away after the Second World War." And the U.S. is still getting there. Give the Iraqis, what, 40 or 50 years and maybe they'll catch up with us, and apply it to only a small percentage of those eligible. You know, the poor, minorities, the mentally handicapped. . .

3. But Michelle Malkin called her a "slut"...
and said she represents the kind of sexual libertineism and obscene speech that, hopefully, we can put a stop to by bringing back internment camps..

...who to believe?

5. Hmmm-- works for me.
anyway, it's just a link to her sucky new book.

You're not missing anything.
Google "Michelle Malkin" and "internment camps", and you'll see the gist of her "arguments".

She makes me nauseous.

6. Are you sure that Michelle Malkin called Wonkette a
"slut?"

I did a google-search, and the only article about Wonkette by Michelle Malkin I found is this one:

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/michellemalkin/mm20040526.shtml

which doesn't do so.

7. "Skank".. Sorry. Here's the relevant paragraph..
"But give The Washington Post two vain, young, trash-mouthed skanks who couldn't care less about what their parents think of their sex-drenched infamy,

She also accused Ashley Judd (who is, I believe, in her mid 30's) of "Traipsing" around with pro-choice activists at April's March, and paraphrased the alleged message of those of us who are pro-choice thusly...

"Ashley's message to millions of young American women and girls: Opposing the partial-birth abortion ban is fun! Morning-after pills are cool! Sex without consequences rules!

One wonders what Ashley's mom, beloved country singer Naomi Judd, must have thought of her daughter traipsing around with abortion rights' militants."

These are, mind you, both adults. And Michelle Malkin can't seem to get off of (or get off on?) screeching about what their parents should be thinking of regarding their wayward libertine children, heaven forfend.

Bottom line? Michelle Malkin is an uptight, snot-nosed skeeez who condescendingly treats liberal women as if they were still in high school. She may not have actually used the word "slut", but you can tell by her column she wishes she could stick a little notebook paper sign with that word on both Wonkette and Ashley Judd's lockers..

Oh, and here's Wonkette's lovely reply to MM's dumb-ass column...
