Bush has created this enormous hall of mirrors in the country.
This hall of mirrors is what Rumsfeld has called Total Information Dominance or what used to be called Disinformation.9/11,fingering a
shadowy organization called Al Qaeda for 9/11 were part of this disniformation plan.Once these basic steps were accomplished, Bush set about trying to link AlQaeda with Saddam Hussein.Invading Iraq for WMD's was another disinformation project.Once the public was saturated with terror alerts, beheadings,Anthrax mailings it has been benumbed to the point where no one knows what is truth and what is a lie any more. And nobody cares.

In the meantime Bush anoints himself God's avenging angel come to the rescue of the good ol' US of A,promising a way out of this morass that he intentionally created.

The mirage is occassionally broken by the true images of places and events like Abu Ghraib or the coffins of dead soldiers coming home.
The servile press, except for a few brave souls, continues to pay obeisance to the illusion makers.

I now understand the essential truth of what Herman Goering said about how easy it is to fool people and bring them along to do the bidding of a leader who can convince them he is fighting external danger for their sake.
