8. He had a stroke
On Friday and is in "guarded" condition. He has been a mentor of sorts to Wes Clark. I feel badly for him...he is only 68 years old, and was advising John Kerry on military matters until his stroke.

He had just declared himself a Democrat. Another Independent General for Kerry....but he won't be able to help him during this election anymore, I'm sure.

I am very sorry about that.
