Also, throughout the past 30 years, whenever journalists have been polled---Dean is almost always their top pick. The smart $$ in Washington has always been on Dean --and Washington rumors about his role abound.

Fielding fits Woodward and Bernstein's description far better. A student project that started out intending to prove Buchanan was it ended up fingering Fred Fielding, too, using exhaustive, rigorous research standards. He's the only suspect who had a 100% match on knowing everything that Deep Throat was able to know.

Haig? Jeeze, he's not even on the same timeline as the Throat. Laughable, crank theory that.

Fielding keeps popping up (he was on the 9/11 Commission!) at the weirdest places. His office in the Reagan White House was the focal point of much of Woodward's books on Reagan and Bill Casey.
