I see the GOP has dragged out that Damned....
ROBOT Laura Bush and trying to imitate Teresa Heinz Kerry. Hell, they even had a scarf around her neck when she was telling us all about stem cell research..... GIVE ME A F...ING Break.... My God, I have seen school plays carried off better than this. Is this the best they can do??? Their next feat will be to have the "Librarian" start to do quotes in Swahilian, Spanish, French, and German..... I will just about bet that she is having many foreign language lessons lately....

6. Librarians were among the first to refuse to...
following the rules of the Patriot Act. Many totally refused to give the feds any records of what people checked out. In fact, not many professions have their own action doll like Librarians have. Nancy Pearl, a real-life librarian in the Seattle area, refused to comply with the Patriot Act so Archie McPhee created an action figure hero modeled after her.

Check her out at: http://www.mcphee.com/amusements/current/11247.html

Librarians ROCK! They are the ones who stand up against banning books. They are gods and goddesses of knowledge. :hippie:

7. *Love* the Nancy Pearl!
That's great! Librarians and teachers are my favorite people, and well worth respect.

I *know* librarians, and Laura is *no* librarian.

12. I love what Archie McPhee is doing!
They have made action figures out of Einstein, Freud, Jesus, Shakespeare, Beethoven, Moses and even Rosie the Riveter. I have a Benjamin Franklin Action Figure in my classroom. The kids are so surprised that there are other action figures out there besides the good ole regulars like Super Man, etc. I taught my 8th grade U.S. classes about the beginnings of our nation, and I know there will be something they will never forget. including Ben. Archie McPhee thinks that there should Action Figures for the intellectual as well as the heroes of every day life. Archie McPhee is another reason I love Seattle. :hippie:

If there is anyone who hasn't visited Archie McPhee's, here is their URL: http://www.mcphee.com/index.html

9. When she tries to speak Spanish
Just think about Tina, the Alamo tour guide in 'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure'.

Tina: "This is one of my favorite parts of the tour. Say hello to our residents, Pedro and Inez. Pedro is working on an "adobe." Can you say that with me?"

GOP Delegates: "Ahh..dohh..beee"
