Shake yourself, Ron Brownstein!
Edited on Mon Aug-09-04 10:48 PM by grasswire
Ron Brownstein. Political reporter for the Los Angeles Times.

On CNN with Lou Dobbs, Monday.

Tells Americans to lighten up and remember that Bush and Kerry aren't enemies. Says that Americans are going to have to take this election a little less seriously; that the divisions are harmful to the country. Nannying the American people.

When I can get the transcript, I'll post it.

But for now, I am furious. Where does a reporter get off telling American citizens they are taking the future of the country too seriously?

Anyone else see this?

1. What a stupid ass thing to say...
Of course, we should take this election seriously! Where's he been for the last four years? Does he have any idea what the state of our Union is in? Or is it my imagination that America is heading down the toilet if we should not take this seriously and bush should get in for another 4 year?

2. He doesn't realize that a dumbed down America has no use for people
in his profession.

Let's double the sports section of the L. A. Times and get rid of the op ed page.

7. He's afraid if people take things too seriously they'll figure out
that Ron Brownstein is a sorry excuse for a journalist.

9. I was watching Lou Dobbs when he said that.
:wow:

What an asshat. When the news media was telling us the DNC wasn't worth watching, I thought that was bad. But this guy...god, what a jerk.

I'm NOT going to lighten up, because this is the WORST group of thugs that has set foot in the WH.

They, along with their group of talking heads and a worthless lapdog media has demonized any group of Americans that disagrees with them -- those that opposed the war on Iraq were Saddam apologists, those that disagreed with the way they conducted their FP were giving aid and comfort to the enemy. We were called traitors, terrorist sympathizers and worse. They tried to get discimination written INTO the constitution. Those of dark colored skin have their loyalty questioned.

I for one am GODAMNED SICK OF IT!

Fuck you Brownstien. Go back and cower into your hole. Learn who it is that has polarized this country in a way it hasn't been in over half a century.
