1. Right. All the bad stuff is going to happen
in NY, NJ but I bet they have alerts for CA and MI too. Maybe its just not safe to go out and vote if you live in any of these states. :eyes:

3. Not yet in Michigan
They have to be careful, here, because of the large number of arab-american citizens, who usually vote republican (probably not this year, however). I can't imagine what their target in Michigan would be, unless it was soft targets like malls and sporting events. They could probably spot John Engler from the air.

Man Charged After Taping N.C. Buildings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Federal officials charged a Pakistani citizen with immigration violations and said Tuesday the man was detained last month after being spotted taking videotapes of downtown skyscrapers.

Kamran Akhtar was arrested July 20 after being taken in for questioning by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Anthony Maglione. Charges against him were contained in indictments unsealed in federal court Tuesday.

Akhtar is charged with violating federal immigration and naturalization laws and making a false statement, according to a news release by U.S. Attorney Gretchen Shappert.

13. Look out Riceland!
Supposedly, they have been "beefing up" security at several huge rice mills in the Stuttgart, Arkansas area. Think we might be next?

Actually I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas and we have had our own little batch of rumors where Al Qeada has been interested in blowing our dam. Yeah right! :D

19. Really, I'm not.
They didn't mention any specific threat. But, they did have a big story on the news a few months ago about "Homeland Security" having them put up a big fence around their facilities. The residents in one area were very upset b/c it took away access to their homes.

6. depends upon whether you believe Katherine Harris
Indiana is pretty solidly red. Maybe that's why they didn't tell us about it.... assuming it actually happened

7. Isn't it odd the terrorists won't touch Texas?
Have their been any Terra alerts there? I mean c'mon! If they wanted to make an example of him, why not attack the state Bush considers his home?

10. I was being sarcastic in my last post.
For all any of us know there could be numerous threats in different states, INCLUDING TX. But what I think the Administration is doing, along with the help of the media is hyping up the threats in states where they won't win. This way they spread the terror message that they feel will help them win the election but don't lose any votes in the red states. That is why you won't see any terror alerts in TX, even if there have been threats. They don't want to keep the voters away in TX, but they don't mind if some voters in NY and NJ are too scared to vote. Oh, I was wrong about MI. It is a battleground state so unless they decide its a lost cause, there won't be terror alerts in MI either.

18. Terror alerts HERE?
In TEXAS?

I've been in Texas my whole life, I've never heard a single terror alert that was specific to this state.

But then I don't watch TV, so I might have missed it.

16. No, but "terror-fighting" money
goes disproportionately to "Red" states as pork, a fact that even
Mayor Bloomberg is pissed off about.
