What if Barack Obama gets 'Wellstoned'?
I have a bad feeling about what's shaping up in Illinois. Keyes does not have a snowflake's chance in hell to win. Most of us think the repugnants are paying off his IRS debt and debt incurred when the voters spanked him in Maryland. God forbid, what if something happens to Obama and Keyes wins by default? Repugnantcans are very arrogant and for good reason. Absolutely no one gets prosecuted, no questions are asked, the mediawhores cover for them completely. Hopefully, Obama will stay out of private planes.

4. I have already had the same awful thought
It is a shame when anyone who represents good is in such great danger from the right wing mafioso.

6. I dunno...
I don't think Republicans are evil people. Some are misguided, some are ill-informed.. most of the higher-power Republicans are simply greedy, and are willing to shit up faceless peoples' lives to better their own. But actually killing someone? I think that's a bit far.

11. Of course not all Republicans but the thugs in the executive branch
I wouldn't put anything past them. How many have Bush, Cheney, Rove, etal killed in Iraq? They let 3,000 die on 9/11 to futher the PNAC agenda. The lives of anyone outside their club or the life of anyone who threatens them means nothing to these people.

I've been worried about Kerry, but Obama would certainly seem a likely candidate for the "Wellstone treatment". I keep telling myself that 3 Democratic candidates in a row would be too obvious, but they got by with it before, why not try it again?

5. Keyes is a sacrificial lamb
and the repukes are running him just to show how fair and balanced they are,
They feel that it is better for Alan to endure the slaughter than one of their "own".

acquaintance who was in a Republican Administration. She told me one day that plane crashes were a favorite form of political assassination. She was dead serious (pardon the pun). I have yet to see a satisfactory explanation for the Wellstone crash when two pilots were on board.

Important politicians should stay out of planes.

On edit: Political Assassination has a long history. Read Michael Parenti's The Assassination of Julius Ceasar. He shows that the elite were all about killing any politician who threatened their power.

10. I know. That is the reason I hated to even mention it. This
person is no longer a Republican. She is quite brilliant and she has quite a bit of knowledge about well known Republican politicians. She isn't a freeper, and I damn sure ain't.

18. Flying 30 mile hops ...
... really isn't effective use of campaign busses.

They'll do "bus tours" in a swing state. Than the candidate will get on a plane and do some engagement somewhere. The busses will drive onto the next targeted location for the "bus tour".

13. If, God forbid, it happens,
expect a sizable contingent here to insist it could be nothing but an accident, and to even suggest otherwise dishonours his memory.

Oh, state assassinations happen, and murders can be made to appear suicides and accidents. But only elsewhere. :eyes:

20. Let's not get hysterical.
Obama is not going to be murdered. Keyes is not going to win by default. There are plenty of concrete, real world examples of things to get worked up about (exposing our biggest Al Queda mole, causing us to lose valuable suspects and info for one) than to worry about something that is as likely to happen as you getting struck by lightning.
