This is a rebuttal to a friend and my defense of Teresa Hinz Kerry in another community of which I am no longer welcomed in.
And here I am...shot back down to earth exactly what 'they' say about us liberal idealists! Somehow I thought the world would be a more just and fair place by now. I really did. But unfortunately the man with the most money wins in America and that man right now is George W. Bush who has over 100 million more dollars of campaign money for this election. Perhaps we all need to prepare ourselves that the worse may happen...4 more years because in America that is how it works, always has. I hear so much talk about the founding principles of this country, yada yada, like somehow even that was pure and right (how ironic) but I suppose I have to admit then I must not have true American values. Okay I said it...I have liberal values because I believe in the distribution of wealth to all. I don't believe that anyone with billions of dollars deserves or even has the right to claim that as their own while others go hungry, shelterless and hopeless. Another liberal attitude I have is that I think men have been in control way too long! I can't help it...the way they portray us starting with the condemnation of Eve in the garden, as if anything that goes wrong is our fault. It is 'our turn' to take the wheel. I can get pretty defensive sometimes...and the older I get the less the feeling goes away or should it? Let's get real here...the first lady has really never had any voice so far in the history of our country. As Bob Dole even said recently, "There isn't a muzzle big enough of Teresa"! How dare him...limp little weasel that he is. See what I mean? No matter how smart or rich or 'opininated' the first lady may or may not be, still the best she can do is bake a good chocolate chip cookie! Well, I am rambling on but I do appreciate the opportunity for this discussion this evening and I want to thank you for that. I wish you well.
