Is Gretta van Sustern a liberal?
During the Paul Krugman/Bill O'Reilly debate on "Tim Russert," O'Reilly said that Gretta van Sustern of Fox News is a liberal.

I've seen very little of her show.

Has she said anything liberal during her show?

5. So says O'Really, but it makes no difference
Her show for the most part isn't political, its about crime, trials etc.I had to laugh my ass off when I heard that bit of spew come out of O'Really's mouth.

He acts like her show is a showcase for Dems and Liberals on FOX making it "Fair and Balanced". Give me a break....

8. yes, if somoene has liberal opinions, but never gets to express
them on a show, it's irrelevant what she silently believes.

6. Well I can tell you
she spoke to and advised a group I was working with in the early 80s trying to get the ERA ratified. I also recommended her to a friend of mine when she was getting a divorce and I'm pretty sure Gretta handled her case. Until she moved over to Fox I had assumed that she was pretty liberal. I haven't watched her since she got the face job and moved to Fox - I assumed whatever her politics she sold out big time - and besides I don't watch Fox under any circumstances.

Greta used to be an effective voice for the left, however on Fox, all she gets to talk about is Lacy Peterson.

11. Like I said in another post....
I don't think I've ever seen a human thats as hate filled as O'Reilly. Even fat ass Limbaugh can raise a chuckle from that evil body of his,and it sounds like NFL football and golf is his life away from his shit radio show.

To me O'Really has no life other than coming down with his full blown hatred on as many people as possible. He is with out a doubt the most despicable, hate filled person I can think off.

10. Claims To Be Moderate - But Hates CNN, Loves Roger Ailes - See This Story

http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:5iPNd4NkIJsJ:www.ajc.com/business/content/business/cnn/0803/27vansusteren.html+greta+van+sustern%27s+husband+&hl=en

Unlike Bill O'Reilly or other commentators on Fox, Van Susteren doesn't espouse strong conservative views on air. In her book, she says she got grief from people on both sides of the political fence when she switched networks.

"Everybody went nuts," she writes. "The conservatives hated me before they even knew me, and the liberals felt betrayed."

She added that her opinions don't match up with either network.

"I didn't agree with everything said at CNN," she writes. "I don't agree with everything said at Fox. I don't agree with everything my husband thinks, either, but I still love him."

13. see "Outfoxed" - explains it all
she is a liberal in the way Fox likes to portray liberals: not very strong (in personality/opinion/debate), not well known, moderate/centrist, few and far between. They serve as little more then sounding boards for the conservative presentors of the network.

14. Intelligent $cientologist is an oxymoron
Unless you think believing in intergalactic warlords who brought life to earth, that everyone has millions of "body thetans" on themselves (which can only be erased by $cientology "tech") and that an insane meglomanic is the one true messiah is intelligent thinking. In that case, sure.

Also, $cientology is by definition, fascist. They want to take over the world and "re-educate" or destroy enemies. If a $cientologist spouts liberal-speak, it's either because they're too new in the cult to be brainwashed, or they're flat-out lying to score brownie points.

$cientology is a scumbag cult. $cientologists are idiots.

16. Who cares
Her show is a disgrace, sitting around talking about Kobe Bryant and and Scott Peterson and Mark Hacking. What redeeming social value does that have?

Last night on Larry King, they were disparaging Amber Frey because she had sex on her first date with Scott Peterson and then had the nerve to meet another man and have a baby a few months after Peterson tried to ruin her life. I don't imagine it was much different on Greta.

17. What i thought was funny was that Faux.....
Thought she was too ugly for T.V. and made her get plastic surgery. I lost any respect for her then. I would not for any amount of money work for someone who told me i had to have surgery, because i was otherwise to ugly to be on their network.

As far as Scientology goes, shes in the celebrity section. They get the treatment, and it's 100% different to what the average Scientologist sees.

I am also quite sure that celebrities are never exposed to the info at high levels(you pay for each upgrade)so they don't find out the truth about the whole Ron L Hubbard alien fantasy.

22. You bet.
Why would Fox keep on a show that doesn't help their bottom line? It's all about ratings over there. If she didn't help sell ads, Fox would bring in O.J. Simpson to do his own show.

23. I dunno. But her show sucks.
There's no news on it. It's just about the soap opera dramas being played out in America every day. Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson, and the rapist/axe murder trial du jour. I can't get through more than ten minutes of her show. Any news she reports is just rehashed stuff that Oreilly and Hannity already micturated all over............

25. she helps Fox keep up the appearance of "fair and balanced"
Murdoch was asked by congress (or senate - i forgot) just how many liberal reporters fox has. Murdoch could name one or two, then said "i guess it's in the eye of the beholder".
Now imagine fox would have no reporters they could claim are liberal...

35. She draws a regular paycheck from Faux News. Next question.
One night while channel surfing, I ran across Greta doing her thing. I don't recall the actual issue being discussed, but just before a sound-bite tape by * was run, she stated, "The president made a stronge response."

It was on one of those numerous days when * was having his usual problems communicating, using basic language skills, etc. And there was *, stammering and struggling his way through a couple of sentences.

But Greta framed it as a "strong response." She draws her paycheck from Faux News. She will keep her right-wing employers happy.
