What Happened to Reagan's approval rating when he was shot?
Did the "assasination attempt" make his approval ratings go up?

 Just wondering ..... what if that is all they intend to do, create an attempt an assasination? They claim that is what Al Qaeda is threatening to do.

1. 73% in March 1981
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/Polls/reagan_ratings_poll_040607.html

"Reagan's ratings while in office rose and fell sharply with events. Approval peaked at 73 percent after he was wounded in a March 1981 assassination attempt, but tumbled to 42 percent in the early '80s recessions (unemployment hit a 40-year high in 1982)."
