If Prison Torture Doesn't Have Any Traction.....
why should we believe that Plame will?

I mean, no BushCo crime is capable of transcending the right wing news cycle.

1. I like the way they call it "The Prisoner Abuse Scandal."
It wasn't abuse, it was torture.

2. That is correct. And I have learned in Imperial Amerika not to believe
anything until I see the actions.

After all, one salient commonality between Imperial Amerika and it's fellow Totalitarian Nations that came before it is the constant lying and Orwellianisms.

4. Plame involves American officials violating US law; prisoners are disliked

7. With All Due Respect
I am not convinced. I agree that there is a cumulative effect to the growing list of crimes of the administration, but the individual crimes themselves are watered down and then pretty much discarded by the mainstream media.

5. I reluctantly agree.
Over the last 3 1/2 years I have felt elation at the mounting horror stories of corruption, deceit, death and destruction. Elation not at the stories, but at the fact that these situations were so much worse than anything they could even dream up about Clinton....they were so offensive...the media simply would turn into the Pit Bull once again and not let go.

But I am completely disillusioned today. There is no Pit Bull. At least not one visible on TV to millions of Americans. I swear I think if they found a dead hooker in Smirk's personal bathroom, TV would tell us how awful it was that somehow this bitch who was servicing a Democrat was allowed to wander into the West Wing and thereby OD'd on crack in the poor victim's toilet.

:(

6. We can only hope that this administration will
eventually collapse under the weight of it all - a last straw kind of event that will cause it to all come crumbling down.

I just hope it happens before the election.

9. This is Exactly Why
I'm still predicting a Bush victory. The torture was the last straw for me. True, they were non-American evil-doers who were tortured and nobody cares about them, but TORTURE? Next to something as seemingly elemental as that, outting some spy-babe no one ever heard of who did stuff no one knows about just seems too esoteric to really capture the American imagination.

11. bush can eat live kittens on camera...
and still get away with it.

There has been So Much dirt on him and his devils, yet not much sticks the way it should in a reasonable world. We're living in some bizarro Twilight zone times where a blue dress gets all that useless attention and bloody pulped bodies in the thousands, due to Bush's mental retardation, is glossed over.

I'm scared. truely, frikken scared at what is going on.

10. I've Been Wondering Why
these stories - torture and Plame outing - aren't horrific to ALL Americans, but O'Liely and Baby Jesus and Bootz don't tell their loyal sheep about these things, so these stories CAN'T be true, can they?

So sad, but perhaps some form of osmosis will take place and the fumes from the stinking White House will permeate some brains. One can always hope.
