Should corporate execs be elected every 4 years?
What do you think about this idea?

How about once a person becomes an executive in a business that person is up for election in 4 years. When 4 years rolls around anyone working in the company can run against them, and anyone working in the company has one vote to cast. If the exec loses the election he immediatly can either 1. Take a lower (middle to entry level) position in the company or 2. Resign.

Seems to me that if this were the policy a whole hell of a lot of corporations would treat employees right. Screwing people over on health care benefits? Not paying a living wage? Making people work off the clock? (i.e. Wal Mart) I can imagine they would shape up pretty damn fast...

2. There's nothing to stop a company from adopting this as SOP.
Oh, accept for the existing CEO's.

On the other hand, I'm not sure companies can afford it. All these CEO's have golden parachutes that kick in when they loose their jobs. It's often cheaper for companies to keep them in place.

4. Well
I meant more a long the lines of adoption by law...

And as far as parachutes... Makes them use the same parachutes a person in the middle level has.
